10 in 10 out – what the hell does that mean?
June 7, 2011 by admin
Well, that was my question when Todd Durkin said, “10-in 10-out.”

Todd Durkin was kind enough to leave me some of his armpit sweat on my shoulder. I have not showered since!
Maybe that made me the slowest person in the audience because it was not until I got home with the educational DVD that I bought from him this weekend that I got it. (I got it because he explained very slowly and clearly for me.)
If you want a level-10 result out of something (scale of 1-10, 10 being best), then you can’t get that with a level 8 or 9 input. To get 10 out, put 10 in.
People want a level 10 body and they put level 5, 6, 7 or 8 effort/compliance in. They get mad because a level 6 does take effort, and they assume that effort is enough to get what they want. If you want a Rolls Royce they cost $500k. If you go to the dealer with $200k that is still a lot of money, but it doesn’t buy you what you want.
10-out? You need to put 10-in.
Funny, this post could not actually go in the “what I learned at Perform Better” section of the blog, it would have to go in the “what I was confused by” section.
“10-in 10-out.”

[...] Many of us think we are 90% and are wondering what is going on each week when you check in and see no changes. More often than not you are probably deviating just enough every week to keep your body from changing. A bite of your husband’s waffles, a few of your best friend’s potato chips, a bit every night of your kid’s dessert, tea or coffee with sugar, a piece of candy from the receptionist’s desk…. all add up and keep your body from changing. So my challenge for you over the next week is to really keep your nutrition at 90% compliant and watch out for those sneaky morsels, plan your cheats, eat healthy and clean, and put 10 in to get 10 out!
