Monday Munchies: Tillie’s Guilt Free Fruity Jam
Since cutting my sugar intake jelly (also known as jam or fruit preserves) is one of the things that I have missed most. Sweet fruity jam is so good on so many things. One day I made my own version quite by accident! I wanted a make a sweet fruity sauce for my yogurt to give it some attitude! I took some not so fresh fruit (but not moldy or mushy!), cut it up, and microwaved it to see what would happen.

Guilt free jam!
Fuel Fridays: Get on the Wagon Already

Welcome to Fuel Friday’s by Natillie! The Friday blog will be extra info (or Fuel) that doesn’t quite fit into the recipe category or Josef’s researched articles. There will be offers, specials, ideas, tips, how to’s, and other stuff to help you get going and keep on track.
Last weekend was the 4th of July and after talking to a lot of clients this week I know we all had a great time falling off the “clean eating” wagon. If you didn’t quite get back on this week here are a few tips to hoist your back on and take control of the reigns. These might not be revolutionary ideas but they WORK!
1. Don’t drink your calories! Its 100 degrees outside in most parts of the country. Don’t mistake your thirst for hunger. Stay hydrated with H2O. It’s the best thing for you and your body needs it! You can always give your water some attitude with cucumber or lemon slices or even a few berries. A favorite of mine is Crystal Light – lots of flavors to suit anyone’s palate. Beware if you use a whole packet it might be too sweet.
2. Stop snacking! Do not stuff your face full of food that does not fuel it. Most snacks are sugary or carb heavy. Only eat your planned snacks and make sure they are something you are proud to put in your body.
3. Follow your eating plan! No real explanation needed here. Stick to what you said you were going to do. Don’t start next week. Start today! Can’t start today then go grocery shopping and start tomorrow!
4. Get your workout done! If you accomplish a lifting session or interval session who would want to waist all that hard work towards The Body You Want with an unplanned cheat meal. Plan your cheats so they fit into your plan.
5. Fix your attitude to fix your actions. It’s like everything else in life. You simply decide what you are going to do and go do it! Don’t tell yourself, “ok ok tomorrow” – don’t give yourself excuses for that extra sweet or savory treat.
There are a bunch of excuses we tell ourselves. Drop them!
Check out the video below to help you stop making excuses and get on track!

Monday Munchies for Frozen Yogurt!
Welcome to the first edition to…… THE MONDAY MUNCHIES!!
For all of you out there that love ice cream in the summertime this posting is for you. If you live in DC or any other city dancing with the frozen yogurt craze, you can see those cute cups everywhere!
One of these cute places has moved into my neighborhood in a very convenient place to my home. Instead of giving in like the hundreds of people I see walking around with their little cups full of goodness I decided to kick my habit and create my own fruity version that will keep my ass looking oh so cute in my new jeans. While I havent yet created over a dozen flavors and toppings I promise this is just as good and even a bit rewarding.
1 cup Greek yogurt (lots of protein and good fat)
2 tablespoons heavy cream (makes it rich)
1/4 cup orange seltzer water (liquid so your blender doesn’t get mad)
1 cup frozen berries of your choice (use less if you are really watching your carbs, they can add up)
2 packets of Splenda, Just like Sugar, or Fiberfit
-Throw it all together. Blend. Eat.
This is my favorite at the moment when you want something a bit more sinful…yum!
Greek Yogurt Smoothie #2
1 cup Greek yogurt (lots of protein and good fat)
2 tablespoons heavy cream (makes it rich)
3 tablespoons of cup cherry seltzer water (liquid so your blender doesn’t get mad)
1 cup frozen cherries
2 heavy sprinkles of cinnamon (more or less to your taste)
2 packets of Splenda, Just like Sugar, or Fiberfit
-Throw it all together. Blend. Eat
